Day 185 "Waiting And Wasting"

Sometimes we wait alone for someone to come along and give us a reason to stop hesitating,
We dream up the details of who this stranger might be when they arrive, or whether or not the past will come back to stay a while longer; or even whether the past will only come back to make sure we stay waiting, which sometimes the past very much likes to do.

Sometimes we wait alone in an attempt to catch our breath before we try to climb yet another seemingly impossible mountain; then there are times where we take a moment alone to appreciate all that we have conquered during our ascent to the top of our last struggle.

Sometimes we wait alone to give in to our fears, our desires, our false hopes, and all our misguided intentions. Then there are times where we give in to nothing at all, and we stand impossible amongst the possibilities that life provides.

There are so many times where we wait alone for an answer and for a reason, and even more times where our lack of patience requires us to move forward without a care in any reason at all.

At times we wait for nothing at all, and in these times we simply wait for the sake of both waiting and wasting.

There are times when we wait for a protected memory, a defended desire, a forced purpose, and for the proof that this impersonal universe cares.
Sometimes we make the mistake of waiting for anything at all.

Alone it can feel like we are waiting forever.
Alone it can feel like we are only waiting and wasting.
In loneliness it can feel like the universe doesn’t care to care at all.

Sometimes we wait for Time The Titan to crush us underneath our temporary defeat.
Sometimes we wait for Time The Thief to steal away all these heavy thoughts.
Sometimes we stop waiting and start walking towards ourselves once again

Sometimes it is only alone where we can find the strength to stop waiting and wasting anything at all.
