There is more than good vs evil.
There is more than chaos and composure.
More than any one acceptable alignment.
There are so many other characteristics that one can choose to take on,
to defend, and to force upon another.
You are only the moment you live within and nothing more. Not the past
nor the future, now and now alone.
From a hero to a villain to a hero once more. We throw our temporary
masks to the ground as fast as we pick them up.
A hero can fall at the same time that a villain can redeem himself, and
both are closer than they would ever admit.
We are our immediate emotions, both the sadness and the happiness,
the hatred and the lust, both the love and the distrust, the greed and the
pride, the loss and the contentment; we are only ever the moment we are in and
nothing more.
We are ultimately only our choices and the reaction that follows.
We cannot choose what life will throw at us, only how we will react to
what has been thrown.
There is no destiny that cannot be changed by a focused effort.
There is no will that cannot be moved to yet another horizon.
Our gift has always been the free will to choose which role we will play
today.
What will your choice be?
Will you choose to build or destroy?
Will you attack or will you defend?
Will you choose to be a hero or choose to play a villain once more?
