The passing of time can be a heavy burden on anyone’s mind if given an
actual thought.
To know that from the moment we are born we are walking towards the
unknown end of our days.
So much fear.
So much excitement.
Footstep after footstep, and always walking into this unknown potential.
We try to capture the best moments and place them in a jar, where we can
place them on a shelf attached to our hearts.
We wrap the chains connected to bad memories all around and all over us,
always trying to see how far we can make it while carrying this unforgiving
weight.
Time is both an enemy and a friend, both a savior and an executioner, it
is both what we value and fear, it is a relationship with no end at all.
Time is both the greatest gift and the greatest mystery that we have, for
even though we currently have it, it is unknown as to what we will end up doing
with it.
For some the will choose to look back, for others they will choose to
look ahead, and for me; I choose hope.
