Day 235 "A Real Effort"

The world stops for no one. Time The Thief is awake at all hours of the day, and we must awaken to the idea that we are not in control of everything or anything at all.
We are responsible for the choices we make.
We are responsible for the fallout of choosing poison over water.
We are held responsible for choosing love over hate, and memory over a better story to tell.
In a world where help is only ever a moment away, we are at fault for feeding these unhealthy addictions that spiral out of control.
We are at fault for our silence, our mistrust, and our desire to continue as we are, even though we know it might be killing us.
The world spins no matter how much we attempt to slow it down, for only a moment longer.
We are responsible for the effort we put in, and the effort we do not.
We are forever responsible for the perspective we choose to fight for, and for all those ego-driven stories that we still tell.
We are always going to be responsible for the effort that we put in, how much, how long, and how real that effort is, is always going to be our burden to carry.
