Day 336 "Playing It Safe"

Life can be lived on the sidelines if you feel the need to play it safe.
You can avoid the cracks in the pavement if you want, you can try to keep from falling more than a few times, but when we choose to move we choose to take a chance, no matter how safe we try to be.
Life has a way bruising our ribs and our ego's, no matter how often we attempt to avoid the will of gravity.
When you decide to move ahead you take a chance of more than a few scrapes, sometimes it leads to a few broken hearts, a few black eyes and bloody knees.
Life can be lived on the sidelines, but that soon becomes a place where even the wind of change can blow, and with it comes the sting of a different kind of pain; regret.
You may choose to stand still and withstand the weight of gravity for as long as you can, but one day you will choose to move, because we all know that moving forward might eventually lead us to a memory worth remembering, even if we try to forget that fact.
