Day 277 "The Words We Say And The Ones We Won't"

No one ever intends on hurting the ones that they love. No heart desires to run another heart through from the start, and it is only in our weakest moments that we allow our flaws to shine through and cover the beauty that we desired and swore to protect.
We never intend to lead the ones that we care about into the secret darkness of our minds, but selfish eyes cannot see even one step behind, and we wouldn’t ever see our friends tripping behind us.
There is nothing more beautiful as a true connection between two souls that desire to walk a step further, and nothing more troubling than watching that connection start to fall apart at the seams and spiral out.
This life is about impermanence. It is about loss as much as it is about discovery, and even time cannot hold onto time forever.
We only want to hold the ones we love with arms strengthened by resolve and moral conviction, but eventually, those arms get tired from carrying that emotional weight; and sometimes a touch that was once inspirational can become a touch filled with venom.
No one intends on failing in their duty to fight off the dark will that exists within us all, but when they do fail, the gravity is always too much overcome, and someone always falls.
This life is about reflection as much as it is about facing forward. It is about forgiveness as much as it is about teaching a lesson.
We point the finger when someone close to us falls below our ideals, when they fail us and we end up failing them as well. We face off and create a war with our weapons aimed only at the heart.
We know that we were once close, and we know that we still are.
We know that this war is both of our faults, and still we keep our white flags hidden.
We know that we do not want to walk even one more step further, as much as we know that we are thankful that we at least once did.

No one sets out to stab another in the front, but given enough time, that is exactly what some of us do.
