One of life’s greatest gifts is the always present chance of stumbling
upon a new discovery, a new idea, and the potential of experiencing something
both unexpected and life changing.
Not every day feels like an untraveled path, and most of the time our
own self-made patterns govern the events of the day, but some days are not like
others.
Some days exist without the same rules, the same ideals or the same life
essence; some days we embrace chaos more than the desire to control it.
I have fallen victim to the idea that the unknown carries with it an air
of possible danger, and although this might be true, this is only a half-truth,
because the unknown also carries with it the potential of something great and
uplifting, and something that can also be more in the way of a healing force
than a destructive one.
Monotony is the enemy of the spirit. It is the exact safety we can look
for in the blind attempt to control the outcome of our days, and for some, we
accept this complacent mind in the hopes that the discomfort of a restless one
will soon disappear.
As we journey through this life, in this body, and within this mind, we
must stay open to potential for an alien event and the potential of a force
that has the power and strength to change us, because for some of us, we need
to change.
It is a gift to find a mystery that asks us to look further than our own
eyes can see, and we should appreciate any experience that leads us towards the
unknown and towards our desire for knowledge.
I do not need dull thoughts or questions with answers attached to them.
I do not require a life with a head down and eyes closed.
I do not want a life without universal chaos.
Inside this flickering spirit of mine I can hear my own inner voice
speak the words I have been too afraid to speak aloud, and those words are the
ones that speak of a soul far too afraid to believe in tomorrow to its fullest.
So I close my eyes and listen to the words wash over me and drown any
doubt left.
“The mysteries that you search for today are hidden in tomorrow”.
