You can’t burn everything that you want to.
Not everything becomes ashes...some things will not change through the
fire.
Some memories, some fears, some desires, some faults, some reasons, will
never catch fire and disappear like ashes do.
We are as much the things that we choose to destroy as we are the things
we choose to save.
Speaking the words out loud do not make them any more true than when you
only think them in silence.
I will myself to overcome the demons of the past, and as I carry them to
the fire to burn them away, I know in my heart that these things might not ever
catch fire; these things may never become faceless ash.
When a mistake is made it has been made, and there is no undoing some of
these things...they are the character you allowed yourself to become, they are
who you need to accept.
We are the sum of our mistakes and our ability to forgive.
We are changed by every decision, every word, every action and every
intent.
We are the constant ebb and flow of our emotions.
We are both the action and inaction of our decisions.
We are both the catalyst of our own destruction and the saviour of our
selves.
We are not all capable of turning to ash the things that we desire to,
no matter how much we try to bend the will of Time The Thief.
Sometimes it is better to invite in the enemy rather than try to burn
that which will not burn, and face the wrath of our disrespected ghosts.
We are as much our dark thoughts as we are our enlightened ones.
We are the sum of what we wish to burn and
what will not.
We are both the fire and the ash… we are both
nothing and eternal.
We are only our desire to set fire to the
things we cannot burn.
