Day 167 "Safe Illusions And Struggle"

At some point it feels as though we all become complacent with who we are. We all stop taking risks in areas where we used to, and we all stop pushing the limits we need to.
This can be temporary or it can last a lifetime, and this alone can be the greatest fault of any one person that desires fulfillment on a spiritual level.
Some of us trade in the exciting struggle and the payoff it brings for the safe and effortless.
We become spectators and tourists in our own lives.
We forget that we are capable of the lives we told ourselves we could live, the ones we know we should live.
Whatever your reason for standing still instead of running, for laying down instead of climbing, for following instead of leading, whatever your reason, it is nothing more than an illusion, and you know that as much as I do don’t you?

Ask yourself why you would let yourself hesitate?
Why would you choose to stop?
Why do you make up rules that place you in a cage?
Why would you ever choose to do this to yourself at all?

Ask yourself when was it that you decided to live within this illusion of safety over the manifestation of your desires?
Ask yourself why you even allow yourself to believe in safety at all?

There are two paths before us, the one that will lead us to an ocean of possibilities and the one that will lead us back to the shores edge of familiar beaches.
One path that will challenge us and give us the answers we never knew the questions to, and the other will lead us to the questions that we believe have no answers.

The only question left is which path will you take from here?

  1. these questions are good, make you think about the why in your life that we all need and tend to forget
