Day 160 "The Division"

In a world where true love would intend to use a knife to cut a wedding cake but instead uses it to cut open a trusting heart, how can anything be safe?
What separates us beyond an arm’s length will eventually separate us beyond worlds.
There are no words that can explain the emotion of a desperate schism created between two sworn friends or two sworn lovers.
The best intentions cannot build a bridge over the desires of Time The Thief. You will lose when you must lose, change when you must change, and no amount of prayer will convince the storms to shift in their direction.
We are forever held in the current of a universal will that will lead us out as far as it wants to, and when this will demands it, it will break your body upon the shoreline as aggressively as it must, and it will save you just the same.

We search for perfection somewhere within the imperfect.
We believe in the idea of having control or somehow being able to attain it.
We believe we have more power than we do.
We believe in the ego.
We believe in belief.

In a world where time is treated as a straight and controllable line, where logic is used to win illogical wars, and reason is defined by the loudest voice…how can we ever hope meet eye to eye and heart to heart?

We see what divides us.
We defend our distance.
We fight for our precious side of the dirt.
We close our eyes together.

How many forget that we should not be focused on what divides us, but instead on what connects us?

The division line has always existed to be crossed by an open mind.
