How can we ever know what side of the fence we are on?
Are we the spectators or the animals in the zoo?
This circus that we are a part of, are we the ones who paid to see the
show? Or are we all just performers?
Perspective can change any angle, any situation, and it can easily make
us the king or the jester.
Perspective can determine whether you are to be loved or hated.
You can be worthy or worthless.
You can be you or who they tell you that you are.
You can change the story, all with that one word.
In this world you can go to bed a free soul and wake up imprisoned.
This fence that divides us has only one weakness, love; yet even love
can lead to a schism, to a place where only anger is felt.
Love that lifts us up can also tear us down.
This love that has the ability to both lighten and darken the stage that
we inevitably all act on.
This one love that leaves us both animals and masters.
What side of the fence are we truly on?
