Together our words have been used to heal and to hurt.
These words that we share, they have been used to protect each other,
and to start a war with each other as well.
These words we have use as both hope and weapons.
Words that started out so innocent, that after time have spiraled and
changed, and changed, and changed even more; These misguided words that have
drawn and quartered our hearts intent.
These words that used to sound like they came from a friend and a lover,
somehow sound so alien now, like venom dripping from the mouths of the dead.
After all this time I ask that you stay silent, for just a moment
longer, and I promise to do the same; that way we can pretend that we never let
it get this far, for just a moment I don't want to hear our words divide us any
longer.
